New feature for hourly bookings, blocking out times

Many businesses who receive hourly bookings often want to allow their clients to book at any time during the day, but would like the system to automatically block out, say 15 minutes before and/or after the reservation.

The WebReserv booking and reservation system now has a new feature where you can specify a block-out time before or after a booking.

New Calendar view for Events

The WebReserv system has now been enhanced to show a booking calendar view for scheduled events.

This new event calendar view makes it a lot easier for customers to see exactly when an event is avaiable (or fully booked).

This new feature makes the special EVENT Calendar from WebReserv obsolete as the main widget now supports both daily, hourly, and scheduled events all in one calendar view.

New feature for automated emails – new reminder email

A new automated reminder email feature allows customers to have the WebReserv system send out a reminder email to a specific email address before or after a reservation takes place.

This feature can be used to send an automated email to, for example, your cleaning staff on the departure date of a guest.

It could also be used to send a reminder to the event holder the day before the event takes place.

This new feature can be configured specifically for each product.

The reminder can be set-up to email the recipient, X days,  Before or After, Reservation date, Arrival date or Departure date.

E.g. You can set the system up to email a reminder specifically, 2 days before the arrival date, or 3 days after departure date.

New Feature for Schedules – To and From dates

This new feature in the WebReserv booking and reservation system allows users to specify a date range for a schedule.

Before, you would set up for example a event to occure, for example, every Tuesday and Wednesday. The system would then always allow bookings on these Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Some businesses may have, for example, a weekly event that only takes place in the first week of January.

The user can now add a start and end date for the schedule. In this case, the schedule is only available for bookings during this period.

New feature for discount codes – min and max length and No. of people

A new feature has been released for the WebReserv Booking and Reservation system.

You can now specify both the minimum and maximum length of the reservation for the discount code to be valid.

You can also now specify the minimum and maximum number or people required on a reservation for the discount code to be valid.

WebReserv’s booking/availability calendar now in Norwegian

WebReserv now also supports online bookings in Norwegian via the WebReserv Booking and Availability Calendar.

The WebReserv system allows you to add multiple booking calendars to your website, and with the Norwegian language added, WebReserv’s Norwegian business owners can now have both an English and Norwegian booking component on their WebPages if their website is multi language.

“We have had many businesses in our European Market that need to process bookings in the most common languages in Europe, such as English, German, French and Spanish.” Says Martin Israelsen, founder of WebReserv. WebReserv was contacted by Event1 www.Event1.no who wanted to implement the WebReserv system, but preferred to receive bookings in Norwegian.

9 good reasons to have an online booking system

The Internet is here to stay, and many businesses have made their first leap to the Internet with a web site, and many are now moving forwards using the Internet, not only as an advertising and promotion platform, but as an active business platform.

Issues with date format?

The WebReserv booking component dynamically checks the users PC and browser to pick up on the international settings, and therefore handle bookings in date formats specified by the users PC.

While this method seems to be the “smart” choice, there appear to be many PC´s and browsers in Europe set up with USA date formats.

This has caused some businesses to contact us and ask if we could provide a feature to over-rule the automated date format selection.

We have therefore added a new Advanced Option to the widget called dateformat. You need simply add this to your booking components URL.
