WebReserv has now launched the V0.9 BETA versions of two new plugins for handling EVENT Bookings, either via the sidebar, or directly in a PAGE or POST.

As with any BETA release, there may be some issues that we are unaware of, if so, please feel free to email us at info@webreserv.eu .

This BETA version should be functioning correctly without any bugs, though there are some known issues (missing features) we are working on to ensure these plugins support all the features that WebReserv includes.

Number of people
If you set “Number of people” to be asked for during the booking process in the back office under “customer Information”, then this is not asked for during the booking. We expect to have this bug fixed very soon.

Costing Page
After a user books an event, the system usually presents a cost info page if the events have rates associated.
This page is currently missing in this BETA version, though the costs are still included in the confirmation (and/or pending) email(s) to the end client.
The work around for this at present is to write the cost also in the description field for the product.

Languages
Currently only supports English

CSS for Firefox
We have been having some issues regarding firefox to accept the CCS properly.
If you look at the EVENT sidebar plugin in firefox, it appears to not have the same look as it does in IE.
If any developer can see what this issue is, please email info@webreserv.eu with a working copies of the CSS’s and we will credit you and your website on the change log page for the widgets.
We will also be looking at adding a CCS styles page to our blog so that developers can upload their CCS styles so other can use them.

Data entry width (sidebar only issue)
We are looking at ways to see how we can make the sidebar calendar work in a width smaller than 200px.
We have currently achieved this by using a small Tahoma font, but long event names can make the sidebar component exceed this width.
We will be looking at other ways to support this, maybe with an option to for example only show X characters on the sidebar widget as event title.

Events must be configured as Fixed Schedules
Currently the plugins only support events created as Fixed Schedule on the Reservation Type page for a product in the WebReserv Back-office.
We will be adding the feature soon so that the reservation Type Hourly – fixed schedule is also supported as this reservation type is easier to use for recuring events.
